- Dr Lim Khong Hee is a board-certified general surgeon with special specialties in esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, hernia repair, and minimally invasive surgery at Nexus Surgical Associates. He chose general surgery as a specialty because he desired to be actively involved in his patients’ care and to make a difference by performing surgical procedures for them.
- Dr Lim previously worked at Tan Tock Seng Hospital as the Chief of the Upper Gastrointestinal Service and Senior Consultant in the Department of General Surgery. Dr Lim promoted the development of complicated laparoscopic abilities and oversaw the organization of basic, advanced, and masterclass laparoscopic courses during his stint as Director of the hospital’s Centre for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.
- Dr Lim has extensive expertise doing upper GI and advanced laparoscopic treatments such as radical gastric resections with systematic lymphadenectomy, laparoscopic fundoplication, and laparoscopic weight loss surgery. Additionally, he has extensive experience with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
- Dr Lim is actively involved in student teaching as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and as an Examiner for the M.B.B.S. Final Professional Examination.
