At Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, Dr Lim Tiong Keng is a cardiologist.
Specializing in the treatment of coronary artery disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, dyslipidemia and adult congenital heart disease, he has over 20 years of clinical experience.
Dr Lim Tiong Keng graduated in 1998 from the University of London and received his postgraduate doctoral degree at the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust through his cardiac research work.
In transthoracic, transoesophageal echocardiography (awarded by the British Society of Echocardiography in 2007 and 2012, respectively) and transthoracic echocardiography, Dr Lim is triple-accredited (by the European Association of Echocardiography in 2009). He also received Level 3 accreditation by the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance in cardiac MRI.
Dr Lim Tiong Keng has expertise in multiple cardiac imaging with a special focus on advanced echocardiography and cardiac MRI, with a wide range of studies including cardiomyopathy, cardiac MRI tension (adenosine), viability assessment, ventricular function quantification, and valvular disease.
He is a visiting consultant at Singapore’s National Heart Center.
Dr Lim Tiong Keng was formerly an assistant associate professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School, a senior clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and a member of the SingHealth Cardiology Senior Residency Program’s core clinical faculty.
Dr Lim Tiong Keng is a reviewer for many international peer-reviewed journals. Since 2014, he has also been named as a grader for echocardiography accreditation under the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and as a grader for abstract submission to one of the largest scientific meetings in the world on cardiology organized by the European Society of Cardiology.
In cardiology journals such as the Circulation, Journal of American College Cardiology, European Heart Journal, American Journal of Cardiology, and Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, Dr Lim has presented both locally and internationally and written more than 30 peer-reviewed medical research papers
