- Dr Lim Yi Jia is an orthopaedic surgeon at Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital.
He specializes in hip, elbow, wrist, and hand surgery. He is also skilled at treating knee, foot, and ankle issues, including fractures, ligament, and muscle injuries suffered in sports and motor vehicle accidents.
He conducts arthroscopy, joint replacement, trauma surgery, and reconstructive surgery, with an emphasis on diabetic foot problems. - Dr Lim Yi Jia was the director of Changi General Hospital’s shoulder and elbow operation. He was responsible for the professional development and preparation of junior and senior physicians in procedures such as arthroscopy, joint replacement, trauma surgery, and upper limb reconstruction.
Dr Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore with a bachelor’s degree in 1998 and a master’s degree in orthopaedics in 2008. He completed subspecialty training in upper limb surgery at the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre and the Victorian Hand Surgery Associates in Melbourne, Australia, in 2010.
He served as the chief tournament physician for the Women’s Tennis Association finals in Singapore from 2014 to 2016. He has been a physician for more than two decades.
Dr Lim has several publications in national and international orthopaedic journals and has been invited to present his research findings at international conferences. Regional physicians seek him out to learn specialized techniques in upper limb surgery and reconstruction. For more than 15 years, he has been involved in training doctors in Singapore and abroad, especially in the fields of trauma surgery and shoulder surgery.
