He has extensive experience treating complex gut, liver, and general medical conditions, which are often interconnected and require holistic management. - Dr Loh Poh Yen is one of the few doctors in Singapore who has been certified as a specialist in two specialties by the Ministry of Health (gastroenterology and internal medicine).
Dr Loh relocated to Singapore to seek advanced training in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He then received additional training in the area of liver transplantation at Taiwan’s Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.
He previously worked as a consultant at Changi General Hospital, where he treated patients with gastroenterological and general medical issues.
Dr Loh was an influential participant in the education of young physicians. He taught medical students at NUS’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine as a clinical senior lecturer and was also the core faculty for SingHealth’s senior residency program for young gastroenterologists.
