Dr Low Sze Chuan is a general surgeon currently practicing at Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital. Dr.
Low specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and has ample expertise in breast conservation and minimization of the cosmetic effects of breast surgery. He is well-known for his treatment of breast cancer and breast diseases, and performs a minimally invasive breast biopsy procedure, ultrasound guided surgery and mammotomy. Dr Low Sze Chuan also conducts breast screening, medical assessment and evaluation of breast lesions that are symptomatic and screen-detected, treatment of benign breast diseases and breast tumors, and surgery for breast conservation.
From 1991 to 1992, Dr Low Sze Chuan received the HMDP Scholarship (Ministry of Health, Singapore) for Breast Surgery Training at the Professorial Unit of Surgery at City Hospital, Nottingham, UK. At that time, at the 43rd meeting of the British Association of Surgical Oncology in London, UK, Dr Low was awarded the Alan Edwards Prize for Best Paper (November 1991).
Dr Low Sze Chuan has been active in the national management of breast disease since then, and has been a member of the planning committees of the Singapore Breast Screening Project and the Singapore Breast Cancer Registry. Until 2001, he was the senior consultant and head of the Changi General Hospital Breast Service. Dr Low Sze Chuan has been in private practice at Gleneagles Hospital since 2001, dealing primarily with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast diseases, including breast cancer.
