- Dr Ng Zhaowen Dennis is an orthopaedic surgeon at Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital.
He has over 13 years of clinical experience and specializes in shoulder, knee, and elbow disorders.
He treats common shoulder conditions such as frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, impingement, dislocation and instability of the shoulder, shoulder arthritis, upper limb fractures, and tennis elbow, as well as knee conditions such as cartilage damage, ligament tears (ACL), meniscus tears, and knee arthritis. - Dr Ng Zhaowen Dennis has extensive experience treating sports injuries, having treated professional athletes in North America. Athletes from basketball, soccer, judo, football, rock climbing, and cycling are among the patients.
Dr Ng graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a medical degree in 2007. He then completed postgraduate training in orthopaedic surgery, earning a master’s degree in 2013.
He was a recipient of a Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Plan scholarship and completed subspecialty training at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Centre in Ontario, Canada.
Dr Ng was a former deputy head of the Shoulder & Elbow Division and a member of the National University Hospital’s Sports Medicine Division (NUH).
He was a core faculty member of the NUH Residency Program and a lecturer at NUS.
He was a member of the National Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy Course’s organizing committee.
Dr Ng has contributed to the orthopaedic surgery research literature by publishing articles and presenting abstracts at both national and international medical conferences.
