- Dr Ngoi Sing Shang graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1981, was admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in 1985, the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 1985, and completed a Master of Medicine (surgery) (Singapore) in 1986.
- Dr Ngoi Sing Shang previously worked at the Singapore General Hospital and the National University Hospital in Singapore as a Medical Officer, Senior Tutor, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Consultant Surgeon. Dr Ngoi has completed academic attachments at the University of Hong Kong’s Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital’s Endoscopic Unit, St. Mark’s Hospital in the United Kingdom, and The New York Hospital at Cornell Medical Center’s Department of Surgery. Dr. Ngoi is also a member of the International Society of Surgery (ISS), the Collegium Internationale Chirurgiae Digestivae (CICD), the Singapore Academy of Medicine, and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, as well as a 1986 member of the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore Laser Committee.
- Dr. Ngoi’s clinical interests include colorectal surgery, general surgery, and laparoscopic surgery, with a special emphasis on cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, and adhesion lysis. Additionally, he is interested in endoscopy, specifically gastroscopy and ERCP.
