- Since 2007, he has served as an independent consultant in surgical oncology (cancer surgery).
- His primary specialization and area of interest is Cancer Surgery of the Gastrointestinal Tract, Hepatobiliary Tract, and Pancreas. Head-and-neck (oral) cancers, gynecological cancers, and breast cancers are his areas of expertise.
- In 1997, Dr Prashant Mullerpatan finished a residency program in surgical oncology at India’s preeminent cancer institute, Tata Memorial Hospital, where he also earned his master’s degree in surgery.
- After completing his fellowship in this field, he worked at Lilavati Hospital in Gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepatobiliary (HPB) cancer surgery.
- Dr Prashant Mullerpatan has also completed a Fellowship in Gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepatobiliary (HPB) cancer surgery at the University Hospital, Nagoya, Japan.
- Before returning to India in 2007, he worked in prominent hospitals in the United Kingdom for nearly three years in Gastrointestinal Cancer and Breast surgery. Since then, he has successfully performed significant cancer procedures.
- Dr Prashant Mullerpatan was also a former surgical oncology faculty member at the MGM Hospital in Kamothe, Navi Mumbai.
