- Dr Raghuprasad Varma studied an MS in Orthopaedics at the Bombay Hospital institute of medical Sciences, Mumbai, after completing his medical training at the Grant Medical College, JJ group of Hospitals in 1994.
- Dr Raghuprasad Varma is also an Orthopaedics Diplomate of the National Board of New Delhi.
- Since 2001, Dr. Raghu Prasad’s passion for Spine Surgery has inspired him to pursue it as a subspecialty.
- Multiple fellowships for advanced spine training were completed at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital (Oswestry), University Hospital (Cardiff), and Stanmore in the United Kingdom, as well as the Advanced trauma centre in Leipzig, Germany.
- Dr Raghuprasad Varma also worked in the Singapore National University Hospital’s Spine Department.
- In 2005, he was awarded the Global outreach grant at the Scoliosis Research Society convention held in Miami, United States. He has served as faculty for numerous regional and national Spine conferences. Dr. Richard Fessler oversees his training in minimally invasive spine surgery at the RUSH Medical Centre in Chicago, United States.
- He is a Reviewer for the British Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and has authored numerous works.
- He has conducted about two thousand spine procedures for a variety of causes, such as degenerative spine problems, adult and pediatric (scoliosis and kyphosis) spinal abnormalities, spinal infections, and spinal tumors.
