Dr Rajesh Kumar Sharma is credited with establishing a procedure for the pre- and post-cardiac surgical treatment of patients with compelx cardiac defects of all ages. He spent five years in the Indian Army and was instrumental in the establishment of a dedicated paediatric cardiac intensive care program at Max Saket. He has been nominated twice for the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card and has received commendation from commanding officers for his service. He has served at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a fellow.
Dr. Rajesh has successfully treated a number of paediatric cases, including the world’s first Post Cardiac Surgical ECMO case in a four-month-old Post Arterial Switch Procedure patient. Dr. Rajesh specializes in the insertion of peritoneal dialysis catheters and post-arterial switch procedures.
