- He is probably the only doctor in India, for having performed 132 Percutaneous Transluminal Septal Myocardial Ablation for Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy, which is the largest number in the country.

- Dr Ramesh B Appointment was a Professor of Cardiology at the Sri Jayadeva Cardiology Institute in Bangalore. He started this institute in 1987 as a registrar in DM Cardiology, earned his DM in 1989, was promoted to Assistant Professor in 1990, then to Professor in 1995, and retired in 2016. Dr Ramesh B Appointment instructs DM cardiology fellows in India. In his extensive career of more than 29 years, he has conducted thousands of Angioplasties, Balloon mitral Valvuloplasties, and pacemaker implantations. Dr Ramesh B Appointment is a pioneering Interventional Cardiologist from Bangalore. He has joined Apollo Hospital, B.G Road, Bangalore as professor and director of the department of cardiology, coordinator for the DNB cardiology course, and consultant cardiologist. In 2011, he opened his own Ramesh Cardiology Clinic in Banashankari 2nd stage with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment capabilities for cardiac problems.
