Biodata
- Dr Ronald Ng earned a Gold Medal in Internal Medicine from Hong Kong University in 1969. He formerly held academic and clinical posts at Hong Kong University and University College Hospital Medical School in London, as well as a Senior Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
- He began his private practice in the specialty of haematology in 1984 at Mt Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, where he served as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board from 1993 to 1995. He previously served on the Singapore National Medical Research Council and is currently a member of the Singhealth Centralised Institutional Examination Board, which is responsible for the review of research studies’ ethical issues. Additionally, he is a Principal Mediator at the Singapore Mediation Centre and a member of the Medical Protection Society’s Education Panel.
- Dr Ng has authored numerous publications in the field of haematology, including those in prestigious magazines such as Cancer and Blood. His current clinical interests include anemia, clotting, and bleeding disorders.
- Subspecialty interest: Thrombotic and bleeding illnesses, as well as chronic myeloproliferative and lymphoproliferative diseases.
