- Dr Sanjay Nalachandran is a general surgeon practicing at Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital. Dr Sanjay’s clinical preferences and subspecialty are vascular surgery (vein surgery) and endovascular surgery (minimally invasive vein surgery).
Dr Sanjay received his education in Ireland and Singapore, where he completed additional training in general and vascular surgery. Dr. Sanjay was awarded a Singapore Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship in 2005 to undertake a one-year advanced vascular surgery training program at Newcastle Upon Tyne’s Freeman Hospital. Dr Sanjay returned to Singapore and worked as a consultant in the Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s General Surgical Department.
Dr Sanjay is currently practicing at Gleneagles Hospital Singapore. He is specialized in advanced laparoscopic surgery as well as conventional and endovascular vascular surgery. He is well-versed in vascular surgery’s most recent stenting and angioplasty procedures. He is particularly skilled at treating varicose veins with the EVLT technique. Additionally, he specializes in non-invasive spider vein treatments such as sclerotherapy and laser treatment at his Singapore clinic. - Dr Sanjay Nalachandran has always been passionate about and interested in medical education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As a result, he has been named adjunct assistant professor at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
