- Dr Sim Hong Gee is a urologist based in Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital.
Dr Sim is interested in genitourinary cancer research, especially biomarkers for prostate cancer and cancer epigenetics.
Dr Sim Hong Gee is skilled in the treatment of a broad range of general urologic disorders, including benign prostate enlargement, urinary stone obstruction, urinary incontinence, male infertility, pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction, and ureteric and urethral strictures (narrowing of the urinary passages) using minimally invasive endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques. - He graduated from the School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1994 and completed his general surgery and urology training at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He then completed his subspecialty training at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in the United States of America through the Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship program.
Dr Sim is board certified in robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, cancer surgery, and organ transplantation.
He is currently the president of the Singapore Urological Association and an adjunct assistant professor at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Dr Sim was previously the director of urologic oncology at SGH and the chairman of the Singapore Chapter of Urologists, College of Surgeons.
