Work Experience

House Job in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi,1976 – 1977.
Dr Sudhir Srinivas Pai Worked at Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi from August to December, 1977.
Residency in General Surgery at A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi from January, 1978 to December, 1979. During the course of the same have performed over 300 General Surgical Operations.
Dr Sudhir Srinivas Pai Worked as Causality Medical Officer from January to July 1980 at A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi.
Senior Residency in Neurosurgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, July 1980 to July – 1983. Have performed during the same period over 400 operations on Brain Tumors, Head Injuries, Spinal Surgery, Microvascular surgery and Peripheral Nerve Surgery.
Dr Sudhir Srinivas Pai Worked as a lecturer in the Department of Neurosurgery at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal with 1000 bedded Kasturba Hospital from September 1983 to October 1984.
Dr Sudhir Srinivas Pai Worked as Consultant Neurosurgeon from November 1984 to Novermber 1990, at the university Hospital,Kerman, Iran, having 24 bedded Neurosurgical Section and 10 bedded I.C.U. with 2 independent Neurosurgical Theaters handling all kinds of Neurosurgical cases.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF NEUROSURGERY, KASTURBA MEDICAL COLLEGE, MANIPAL (SEPTEMBER 1983 – OCTOBER 1984)

This was a combined neurology / neurosurgery unit as a neurosciences division. Here the responsibility included handling all kind of neurological outpatient cases, neuroradiological work, operative sessions carried out independently apart from attending all types of neurosurgical emergency cases. During this period I was instrumental in establishing microneurosurgical lab at the same institute (KMC).
CONSULTANT NEUROSURGEON AT BAHONER HOSPITAL – MINISTRY OF HEALTH, KERMAN, IRAN (NOVEMBER 1984 – NOVEMBER 1990).
Initially I was independently handling all kind of neurosurgical cases including routine outpatient, inpatient and operative sessions apart from emergencies – some of them as a fall out of war.
Dr Sudhir Srinivas Pai After 2 years, the neurosurgical services were taken over by the Kerman University and I was associated with teaching programme of the university. Due to increasing workload, a C. T. scanner and an independent 24 bedded ward and 2 operating rooms were allotted to the neurosurgical division.
Dr Sudhir Srinivas Pai worked as a faculty of the Kerman University, Kerman – Iran, during the period 1986 to 1990 taking part in all the academic activities of the university including teaching programme for undergraduates and surgical postgraduates.

APRIL 1991 TO DATE

CONSULTANT NEUROSURGEON (IN PRIVATE PRACTICE) in Bangalore, India at the following hospitals:-
Mallya Hospital:- A corporate hospital established in 1991 in collaboration with Apollo Hospital group. It has a bed strength of about 200 beds and has established itself in the city of Bangalore for quality medical care.
Here Dr Sudhir Srinivas Pai have been associated with neurosurgery section since its inception and has been handling / managing all kinds of neurosurgical cases & operate independently.
Agadi Hospital:- Established over 25 years ago with well equipped operation theatre / ICU. Routine neurosurgical cases are managed and operated.

I have been honorary secretary of Bangalore Neurological Society (B.N.S.) – established group of all the practicing neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuropsychiatrists and neuroscientists of Bangalore. BNS meets every month for high quality scientific presentations, discussions, orations and Clinico Pathology Conference (C.P.C.) with active participation of all the corporate and academic institutions of Bangalore.
Chairman of board of governing council of Jain Educational Institutions which has established various educational institutions of high academic standards in and around the city of Bangalore.

Present Status:

Associated with Aster RV Hospital as Sr. Consultant – Neurosciences from Mar-2019 to Mar – 2022.
For the past eight years, since Nov 2010 I have been associate with Vikram Hopsital, Bengaluru in establishing team Neurosciences which has made the establishment well know facility for Neurosciences.
