Biodata
- Dr Sunder Balasubramaniam graduated from the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2009 and completed his residency in general surgery at the National Healthcare Group in 2018.
- He is a trauma and acute care surgeon with a specialty in endocrinology. In 2019, the Ministry of Health awarded him a Health Manpower Development Program (HMDP) scholarship to continue his training in trauma and acute care surgery.
- In addition to surgery, he is passionate about medical education and surgical training. He has been an active participant in the coordination and evaluation of trauma courses at the TTSH Trauma Training Centre. This is to ensure that our courses remain current and important, both in terms of content and delivery process.
- He organized and hosted a public forum on Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) in December 2019 to inform the public about their safe use and the dangers they pose to pedestrians and road users. This has resulted in a rise in public and legislative awareness, which has influenced public policies regulating the use of PMDs.
