DR SWATI R KANAKIA has been a part of Lilavati Hospital for over 16 years. She has been in practice for almost 20 years. She treats leukemias, lymphomas, Wilms tumors, neuroblastoma, and hepatoblastoma in children. Her expertise also includes thalassemia, hemophilia, low platelets, ITP, anemia, and bleeding in youngsters, as well as immune deficiency diseases and Histiocytic disorders.
She has given numerous talks and has trained postgraduate pediatric students in the subject of pediatric hematology oncology. Dr. Swati Kanakia is a known teacher for DNB Pediatric students at the Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, where she is in charge of their education. She has also been appointed as an examiner by the DNB Board.
