- Dr Tan Sian Ann Ann is an obstetrician and gynaecologist practising in Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. She specialises in the area of prenatal diagnosis and treatment of both mother and foetus.
- Dr Tan Sian Ann Ann graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1986, following which she became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of the United Kingdom in 1991. The same year, Dr Tan obtained her Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr Tan was the first Singaporean to hold in Diploma in Foetal Medicine from the Foetal Medicine Foundation in London, UK.
- In 1995, Dr Tan was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award to pursue subspecialty training at the prestigious Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, USA. There, she subspecialised in foetal echocardiography, which diagnoses heart defects in the foetus.
- Dr Tan Sian Ann Ann was formerly the director of foetal maternal medicine at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) (SGH). She was previously also the president of the Perinatal Society of Singapore, which deals with the study of health issues immediately before and after birth.
- Dr Tan Sian Ann Ann is a member of the College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society in Singapore. Internationally, she is a member of the International Society of Ultrasound, and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
- A true believer in public education, Dr Tan has been an influential contributor to women and baby magazines.
