Professional Statement
Dr Tanaz is the Founder and Director of the UCLA Vasculitis Program, a multidisciplinary initiative. She traveled to the United States in 1996 to seek further education after growing up in Mumbai. She received her Internal Medicine and Rheumatology training at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. As part of a distinguished Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium fellowship, she underwent further training in vasculitis at the Mayo Clinic. In 2012, she joined the UCLA Health Division of Rheumatology.
Dr Kermani treats patients with various rheumatological illnesses, but vasculitis is his area of focus and competence. Her clinical and scientific competence in vasculitis have earned her worldwide renown. She is an active part of the vasculitis research community, with continuous national and international collaborations with vasculitis patient advocates and medical professionals. She has published various works.
Dr Tanaz is linked with a number of regional institutions, including UCLA Medical Center and Providence St. John’s Health Center. She has been in profession for eleven to twenty years.
