Education & Experience:
At Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore, Dr Tay Guan Tzu is an orthopaedic surgeon.
His professional interests are in pediatric orthopaedics, foot and ankle surgery for adults and pediatrics, as well as lower limb deformity correction.
In 2012, in Geneva, Switzerland, Dr Tay won the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award for subspecialty training in the area of foot and ankle surgery.
He began the foot and ankle service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) in 2013 upon his return to Singapore.
Dr Tay Guan Tzu worked in the Department of Pediatric Orthopaedics at KKH until the end of 2016.
From 2016-2020, he entered the foot and service department of orthopaedic surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).
He is a keen contributor to the field of education and was one of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine’s educational year-leaders. As an adjunct assistant professor, in their end-of-posting as well as the final MBBS examinations, he was a frequent examiner.
He was also a clinical lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and worked at the Duke-NUS School of Medicine as an assistant professor.
Dr Tay Guan Tzu is an active participant and donor to the orthopaedic community and serves as a TTSH, KKH, and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital visiting consultant.
