Professional Statement
Dr Fong attended Northwestern University in Chicago for both his undergraduate and medical education. In 2002, he completed his adult general psychiatry residency at UCLA and was the first recognized addiction psychiatry fellow at the UCLA Neuropsychiatry Institute (2002-2004).
He is co-director of the Gambling Studies Program at UCLA (UGSP). This program aims to investigate the underlying causes and clinical aspects of gambling disease in order to create effective, evidence-based treatment methods.
Since 2009, he has directed the UCLA Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship, an approved one-year program that offers clinical training in addiction psychiatry.
Dr Timothy is linked with a number of local institutions, including Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA and UCLA Medical Center. He has been practicing law for almost 20 years.
