Dr Vikas Singhal received additional surgical training in the United Kingdom and the United States after graduating from Maulana Azad Medical College. He finished his surgical residency at the Guthrie Clinic in Pennsylvania, which lasted five years. He then went on to Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, for a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery. He is a board-certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. He’s also a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS).
He is a firm believer in providing honest and ethical patient care as well as the use of evidence-based medicine. He has multiple indexed papers in GI surgery in reputable journals, and the Journal of GI Surgery (JOGS) and the Society of Surgeons of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), both in the United States, have given him the best article award. He also serves on the Editorial Boards of a number of medical magazines.
