Previously, Dr Yatin Mehta worked as a Senior Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi and as the Director of the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care at Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in New Delhi. In 2009, Dr. Mehta received FIACTA (Honorary), Fellow in TEE from the Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists and FICCM (honorary) from the Indian College of Critical Care Medicine. He has frequently visited the Uppsala Cardiothoracic Department as a visiting consultant.
He is on the editorial boards of a number of publications. He has over 200 papers and 250 conference presentations to his name. Dr. Rosenthal’s Worldwide Nosocomial Infection Control Consortium (INICC) has named him National Co-ordinator, and he has many international papers in ICU sepsis. He teaches and examines for the National Board of Examinations’ Fellowship in Critical Care and Cardiac Anaesthesia, as well as the ISCCM and IACTA fellowships in India.
Dr Yatin Mehta served on the ISCCM executive committee for two terms and was Vice President of the ISCCM Delhi branch. He was the President of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesiologists from 2004 to 2005. (IACTA).
