Dr Yeak Chow Lin Samuel is a bonafide expert within the area of ear, nose and throat health.
Dr Yeak Chow Lin Samuel has more than 20 years experience in the area of nasal and sinus disorders.
Dr Yeak Chow Lin Samuel received training in otolaryngology at the National University of Singapore, after graduating from the school of medicine at MIT.
In 1993, he received the Health Manpower Development Programme award, which qualified him to receive a 3-month fellowship in rhinology at the Georgia Ear Institute in the States, as well as a 1-year fellowship in the subspecialty of rhinology at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London.
During his work at Tan Tock Seng Hospital he was the Head and Senior Specialist for ears, noses and throats. During his tenure, he also served as director of the rhinology service. Dr Yeak is now on a sabbatical from Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr. Yeak’s interest in the fields of otolaryngology, anatomy, and speech pathology reaches beyond his hospital patients. He is an active member of the Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Singapore. He is also a former president and is interested in many aspects of the society.
Teaching is also one of the doctor’s passion projects. Dr Tan also holds a senior clinical position at the Singapore General Hospital as a senior clinical lecturer, and was the director of the rhinology programme for the surgical training committee’s Otolaryngology training programme in 2002.
He has successfully Examiner for the Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Masters of Medicine (Otolaryngology) exams.
Dr Yeak Chow Lin Samuel’s extensive experience in the ENT surgical field has enabled him to be a lecturer at numerous international conferences and courses. He has traveled to China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand on a regular basis, speaking on various topics such as sinusitis/rhinitis therapy, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
An exceptionally well-published ear surgeon, he also has numerous local, regional and foreign publications under his name.
