- At Parkway East Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, and Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Dr Yip Hwee Seng is a respiratory medic and intensivist.
- Asthma, community-acquired pneumonia, endobronchial ultrasound, intensive care, and point-of-care ultrasound are among his areas of concern.
- Dr Yip Hwee Seng treats conditions such as acute bronchitis, asthma, chronic cough, tuberculosis, lung cancer, and pneumonia.
- Prior to private practice, Dr Yip Hwee Seng was a senior respiratory specialist and intensivist at the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore with the division of respiratory and critical care medicine.
- From 2013 to 2019, Dr Yip also served as the clinical director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at NUH. He oversaw a wide variety of quality enhancement programs at the hospital during his tenure.
- In 2015, Dr Yip was awarded the Academic Medicine Growth Award (Team), where he led his team to learn from world leaders in early patient mobilization in the intensive care unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. In NUH, he launched a similar early mobilization initiative, which contributed to improved functional patient outcomes after critical disease.
- Dr Yip Hwee Seng graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2001, completed his respiratory medicine specialist training in 2010, and completed his intensive care medicine training in 2012.
- Dr Yip Hwee Seng was interested in educating medical students from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and was also a key faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program of the National University Health System.
