Professional Statement
Dr Anusha is a physician-scientist and radiation oncologist at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Kalbasi is an expert in treating sarcoma and melanoma. Dr. Kalbasi combines laboratory research and clinical trials to create novel immunotherapy-resistance-combating strategies. As a radiation oncologist, he has extensive expertise with cutting-edge techniques, including as intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), image-guided radiotherapy, and proton treatment.
Dr Kalbasi conducted an HHMI-NIH research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute under the supervision of Dr. Steven Rosenberg while earning his undergraduate and medical degrees with distinction from UCLA and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, respectively. At the University of Pennsylvania, he earned a residency in radiation oncology and a post-doctoral study in tumor immunology under Dr. Gregory Beatty. Then, he completed a second post-doctoral study at Dr. Antoni Ribas’s laboratory at UCLA, where he remained as a faculty member.
Dr Anusha is linked with a number of regional institutions, including UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center. He has been in profession for eleven to twenty years.
