Dr Benjamin Blais, MD, is a pediatric interventional cardiologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Heart Center and an assistant professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr Benjamin Blais obtained a bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Studio Art from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee and a medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. His pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship were completed at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Prior to joining The Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s, Dr Benjamin Blais spent a year as a clinical teacher and Interventional Cardiology Fellow at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital.
Dr Benjamin Blais is a member of the Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiovascular Society (PICS) as well as the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI). His clinical interests include the identification and therapy of lymphatic problems in congenital heart disease, and he is a professional medical artist. His scientific interests include biodegradable and bioresorbable stent technology.
