- The HCG ICS Khubchandani Cancer Centre’s radiation oncologist is Dr Bhavin Visariya. He is an authority on contemporary conformal radiation delivery techniques, including stereotactic radiation, IGRT, IMRT, and other conformal radiation techniques.
- • He has extensive experience with brachytherapy (internal radiation), including image-guided brachytherapy (IGBT) for gynecological tumors, as well as brachytherapy for breast and oral cavity cancers.
- • Dr Bhavin Visariya also has direct familiarity with the processes involved in the installation of the new linear accelerator and the brachytherapy equipment from Varian Medical Systems.
- • He is particularly interested in Hypo fractionated radiation for breast cancer, prostate cancer, and spinal metastases, motion controlled radiation for breast and lung cancer, and the role of radiation as an immunomodulator and in immunotherapy.
