Professional Statement

In 1986, neurophysiologist and psychiatrist Dr Bruce joined the UCLA faculty. From 1994 to 2004, he oversaw the Psychiatry Research Residency Track as its director before being promoted to full professor in 1998. Since 2004, he has served as the Medical Institutional Review Board’s chairman.

Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry were the subjects of Dr Bruce’s combined BA and laude from Yale University. At the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he earned both his MD and his Ph.D. in physiology.

The Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA and the UCLA Medical Center are two of the local hospitals that Dr Bruce is connected to. For almost 20 years, he has been in practice.
