Dr Cheryl Battersby is an Honorary Consultant Neonatologist at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Neonatal Data Analysis Unit, Section of Academic Neonatal Medicine.
Her study focuses on how to use demographic data collected as part of routine care to answer problems that are difficult to answer using more traditional methodologies. Her PhD research focused on the epidemiology of necrotizing enterocolitis, and she was the principal investigator for the UK Neonatal Collaborative-Necrotising Enterocolitis Study.
Improved neonatal care in low-resource settings, cardiology, and haemodynamics are among her other passions. Cheryl earned her medical degree from the University of Nottingham in 2003. (BMedSci first class, BMBS).
Dr Cheryl Battersby completed paediatric studies in London and became a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2006. In 2018, she completed specialized study in Neonatal Medicine.
