- Dr Chua Siew Eng is a board-certified specialty psychiatrist with more than two decades of clinical practice. She studied Medical Sciences at Cambridge University and graduated from Oxford University in 1990 with a degree in Clinical Medicine. She trained at Cambridge University, the Maudsley Hospital, and the London Institute of Psychiatry, becoming a specialist in 1995. She received training in adult, child, and adolescent general psychiatry, as well as eating disorder consulting, rehabilitation, and old age psychiatry.
- Dr Chua Siew Eng has testified in court as an expert witness. She taught and tested medical students and doctors at the University of Hong Kong’s LKS Faculty of Medicine, where she served as Clinical Associate Professor, Honorary Consultant, and Chief of Education in the Department of Psychiatry at Queen Mary Hospital. Additionally, she co-authored approximately 50 journal articles, the most of which focused on brain imaging in schizophrenia / psychosis, autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and movement disorder. She is Malaysian / Singapore Permanent Resident and is fluent in English and Chinese. She is married and the mother of two children. Dr Chua’s clinical interests include adult general psychiatry, with a particular emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illnesses (e.g., mood disorders, anxiety / stress, insomnia, and psychosis).
