Biodata

Dr Foo Chee Guan David earned his MBBS from the University of Melbourne in 1997 and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2002. He later earned his FACC from the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2010. He completed his fellowship in electrophysiology and cardiac pacing at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Dr Foo Chee Guan David earned the Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) designation from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners in 2007 and the American College of Sports Medicine’s Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist designation in 2011.

Dr Foo Chee Guan David is currently the Medical Director of the Heart Institute at National Healthcare Group. He was also the Head of Department for the duration of his term, which ended in August 2019. He has served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. His current research and interests revolve around cardiac equipment, electrophysiology, and cardiac rehabilitation.

Adjunct Assistant Professor Foo has chaired and presented at a number of international and regional conferences. Additionally, he has traveled to different parts of Asia to supervise cardiac pacing and resynchronization therapies.
