- Dr Liew Choon How Lewis is a urologist in Singapore, where he practices at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
His clinical specialty encompasses the screening, prevention, and treatment of urological conditions in men and women of different ages.
Male aging treatments include open and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. He has undergone a variety of laparoscopic urological procedures, including prostate, kidney, bladder, and ureter removal.

Dr Liew Choon How Lewis earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom in 1992. He then completed basic surgical training in the United Kingdom and was awarded a surgical fellowship in 1997 by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He then completed advanced urological training at Singapore’s National University Hospital (NUH) in 1998 and urological specialist training in 2002.
Dr Liew qualified as a clinical fellow at St James’s University Hospital in Leeds, UK, where he was mentored by Dr Adrian Joyce in the fields of endourology (minimally invasive treatment of kidney stones) and laparoscopy. Dr Liew then completed training in robotic surgery in 2006 and gained experience performing robotic assisted prostate surgery with the da Vinci robot.
Dr Liew previously worked at NUH as a consulting urologist in 2004. He developed a laparoscopic service at the Department of Urology while he was there.
Dr Liew is a life member of the Singapore Urological Association and currently serves as its treasurer. He is also a member of the International Society of Urology and the Asian Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons.
Dr Liew has written peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in national and international medical journals. He’s been invited to speak at a variety of local and regional gatherings. Additionally, he has taught several laparoscopic courses and seminars.
