Clinical Interest: General gastroenterology and hepatology, advanced endoscopy for the screening, diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases, including tumours and pre-cancerous conditions of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, pancreas and liver/biliary systems.

- Dr Lim Lee Guan is accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board as a Gastroenterology specialist. His credentials include an MBBS (Singapore), an MRCP (United Kingdom), and a FAMS. Dr Lim graduated with an MBBS in 2000. He then began his specialty training in Internal Medicine, earning the MRCP (UK) in 2004, and completing advanced specialist training in Gastroenterology. In 2008, the Expert Accreditation Board accredited him as a gastroenterology specialist. Dr Lim has presented at international conventions and authored numerous articles in international journals, and has been asked to teach gastroenterology courses and endoscopic workshops as faculty. He has also earned research grants and accolades, including the Asia Pacific Digestive Week’s young investigator award. He has contributed chapters to various medical books and serves on the editorial board of BMJ Open Gastroenterology, a journal published jointly by the British Medical Journal and the British Society of Gastroenterology.
- Dr Lim Lee Guan formerly worked as an assistant professor at NUS and as a consultant at NUH, where he served as clinical director, director of post-graduate training, and director of the ACGME-I Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. He has been recognized for his great service with a star and a gold award. Additionally, he received the SSU Award for top praise scorer and the NHG Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr Lim Lee Guan was awarded a scholarship by a Japanese hospital in 2009 for a one-month attachment focusing on advanced endoscopic imaging for cancer diagnosis and endoscopic management of gastrointestinal pre- and malignancy. Dr Lim was awarded a Health Manpower Development Program scholarship to Germany in 2009 for a year of specialized training in advanced endoscopic imaging, including endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic ultrasound guided fine-needle aspiration. In 2013, the World Gastroenterology Organization selected and financed him to attend the Train-the-Trainers Workshop in Porto, Portugal.
