Dr Lisa is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Saint John’s Health Center and a member of the medical group Valley Radiotherapy Associates. She has substantial expertise with radiation for head-and-neck, breast, bladder, and prostate malignancies in addition to brain tumors. In conjunction with Dr. Robert Wollman of Radiation Oncology and Dr. Daniel Kelly, BTC Director, they treat patients using stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) utilizing the new Varian Trilogy Linear Accelerator at Saint John’s.
Dr Chaiken obtained her Phi Beta Kappa and Magna cum Laude undergraduate degrees in History and Science from Harvard University. Her studies focused on biological sciences, medical ethics, and historical influences on contemporary medicine. After getting her medical degree from UCLA, she continued her career as Chief Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology. She continued to work as clinical faculty at the UCLA Breast Center for many years after leaving UCLA. She has been practicing in the Santa Monica area for over 15 years and joined Valley Radiotherapy Associates Medical Group in 2009.
