She was part of a team that pioneered pre-therapy diagnostic somatostatin receptor scan imaging with the isotope Lutetium at P.D. Hinduja National Hospital, and it was then researched at several nuclear medicine centers around India. DR MADHURI SHIMPI MAHAJAN has extensive experience managing the Isolation Ward Facility for High Dose Radio-active Iodine (131I) Therapy and other radio-nuclides for patients with Thyroid Carcinoma, metastatic bone pain palliation, radiation synovectomy, and different Neuro-Endocrine malignancies. She’s also working on Yttrium theraspheres and SIR Spheres for the treatment of liver neoplasms.
