Her dissertation thesis on the pathogenesis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome earned her a research doctorate from the University of London. At McGill University in Montreal, Canada, she completed a two-year sub-specialty fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Before taking up her current job, she worked for five years as a consultant in reproductive medicine at the Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the field of reproductive medicine and infertility, as well as giving presentations at several international and national conferences.
Fertility preservation, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent implantation failure, assisted conception procedures, and in-vitro oocyte maturation are among her current research interests. She teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr Mausumi Das is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the British Fertility Society, among other worldwide academic institutions (BFS).
