Dr. Wilgus, who was born and reared in Texas, got her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley, and her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She finished her studies in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care at the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center before joining the faculty at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
