DR NAGRAJ S SHETTY is one of the few surgeons that performs arthroscopic elbow, ankle, and hip joint procedures. He began training in his chosen subspecialty of Arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery in Mumbai after obtaining his Masters in Orthopaedics. In 2009, he finished his first Fellowship in Arthroscopy, Sports Orthopaedics, and Shoulder Surgery from South Korean centers of excellence. He also completed an advanced shoulder and elbow surgery residency in Italy (World renowned Cattolica Shoulder Unit).
DR NAGRAJ S SHETTY has also completed advanced training in Shoulder and Ankle Surgery in the Netherlands, Germany, and France, as well as Knee Surgery in Barcelona, Spain, at centers dedicated to the treatment of elite athletes (Football etc). DR NAGRAJ S SHETTY began his dedicated Arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery practice in Mumbai in 2012 after considerable training and practical experience as an Assistant Professor at DMIMS (Wardha), where he worked as a specialized Arthroscopic Surgeon. Dr. Shetty currently has an active clinical practice in Mumbai, where he is affiliated with a number of prestigious facilities such as Lilavati Hospital and Medical Research Centre, and performs over 600 arthroscopic and open reconstructive treatments each year. He is a well-liked surgeon among both senior and younger colleagues. He has a big patient base not only in Mumbai but also in Surat, Nashik, Guwahati, and other cities, having treated some top level athletes, actors, and others. He has also treated a lot of patients from other countries.
On the academic front, he has numerous articles and book chapters to his credit in reputable indexed Arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery journals. Since 2013, DR NAGRAJ S SHETTY has been a regular faculty member at major national and international arthroscopy and shoulder surgery conferences. He has done numerous live procedures both in the United States and abroad. He is the Head of Department at BDBA, Municipal General Hospital, Kandivili, Mumbai, and a Diploma Orthopaedics teacher (CPS Mumbai). He also serves as a fellowship director, overseeing two fellowship opportunities every six months ( Arthrosports ,Mumbai).
