Dr Nikhil completed his M.B.B.S. at the esteemed B.J. Government Medical College in Pune and his postgraduate Orthopaedic training at the P.G.I. Swasthiyog Pratishthan in Miraj, Maharashtra.
Dr. Nikhil Joshi has eight years of specialized expertise in several parts of spine surgery. He was awarded a one-year ASSI fellowship, followed by a two-year clinical fellowship at the P. D. Hinduja National Hospital in Mumbai.
Dr Nikhil has extensive worldwide experience as a result of his fellowships at internationally recognized institutions.
He was trained in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery as a fellow at the College Station Medical Center in Texas, United States, after which he completed a residency in neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic.
A one-year clinical fellowship at Singapore General Hospital to learn minimally invasive spine surgical procedures.
He was recruited as a clinical fellow at University Hospital Wales in Cardiff, United Kingdom, for two years of training in Spinal Trauma and Deformity Correction.
Dr Joshi was awarded the Scoliosis Research Society’s renowned “Global Outreach Educational Scholarship” in 2015.
He was the 2013 winner of the “ASSI Inland Travel Fellowship.”
During his training, Dr Joshi was actively involved in academics and research. He has several presentations on national and international stages as well as articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
Dr Nikhil ensures that each patient is given sufficient time so that all questions may be addressed during the session. According to him, it is essential for the patient to understand his or her ailment in order to actively engage in the treatment of a specific spinal problem. He is a great believer in evidence-based treatment for all spinal patients.
