- With 30 years of expertise, Dr. Prof Darius F is one of the most renowned surgeons who perform liver transplants.
From 2001 to 2005, he served as the secretary of the European Liver and Intestinal Transplant Association (ELITA), and from 2015 to 2017, he served on the committee of the British Transplantation Society (BTS).
He is currently a Professional Member of the British Medical Association (BMA), Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT), West Midlands Surgical Society, International Liver Transplantation Society, European Society of Organ Transplantation (ESOT), International HPB Association (IHPBA), Intestinal Transplantation Association (ITA), and Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISGE). - A specialist in adult and pediatric liver and intestinal transplantation, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery for liver, pancreas, and biliary cancer, laparoscopic HPB surgery, bile duct strictures, and portal hypertension surgery, Dr. Mirza has performed more than 5,000 liver transplants worldwide.
In 1984, he received his MBBS from Seth G. S. Medical College in Mumbai, in 1989, he received his MS in General Surgery from KEM Hospital in Mumbai, and in 1993, he received his FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
He has published papers in national and international journals and written a variety of well-researched pieces.
