Since joining the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine in 1998, Dr Prosper Benhaim has served as a hand surgeon, microsurgeon, and reconstructive plastic surgeon.

Currently, he holds the position of associate professor and chief of hand surgery at the UCLA and Olive View-UCLA Medical Centers. He serves on various local and national committees, including the Journal of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand’s editorial board.

Dr Prosper Benhaim obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Animal Physiology from the University of California, San Diego. He received both his M.D. and general surgical training at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also acquired his medical degree.
