Professional Statement
In 2004, immunologist and physician-scientist Ram Raj Singh returned to the UCLA School of Medicine as a professor of medicine and pathology. He is the Program Director for an Institutional Training grant in rheumatology and translational immunology from the National Institutes of Health. In addition to his position as director of fundamental and translational research in the division of rheumatology, he also oversees the multidisciplinary translational immunology cluster series. Before returning to UCLA, he was Associate Professor (1998-2004) and Professor (2004) at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he had moved after completing his research and fellowship training at UCLA in the Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, and Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Biology. Dr. Singh obtained his medical education and training at King George’s Medical College in Lucknow and All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi (MBBS and MD).
