- Dr. RJ Chaudhary is a Consultant Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon at Medanta – the Medicity, Gurugram’s Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine. Since 2014, when he began his career in Liver Transplantation, he has participated in >1500 Liver Transplant and >700 difficult hepatobiliary surgeries. As a Consultant, he has performed >700 Liver transplantation surgeries, including Living Donor Liver Transplantation (LDLT) and Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation (DDLT) for both Adults and Children.
- The Medanta Liver Institute is the first institute of its kind in Asia and one of the few in the world to combine state-of-the-art facilities for Living donor, Cadaveric donor, paediatric and adult liver transplantation with a comprehensive research program for stem cell and liver cell transplantation. Dr. RJ Chaudhary is a vital member of the Medanta Liver Transplant team, which presently performs 22 to 25 live donor liver transplants each month, one of the highest rates in the country, with a success rate of 95% — results that are comparable to those of the world’s finest centers. During his employment at Medanta, he has driven numerous protocol and method improvements. His leadership and decision-making abilities have been an advantage to the organization. In addition to receiving recommendations from all throughout the country, he also handles cases from South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
