DR SUDHEER AMBEKAR earned his M.B.B.S. with honors from JIPMER in Pondicherry. He did a 6-year neurosurgery residency at NIMHANS, then a 1-year skullbase surgery fellowship and a 2-year endovascular fellowship at the LSUHSC, Shreveport, LA and the University of Miami Department of Neurological Surgery, respectively.

Dr. Ambekar’s areas of expertise include brain tumor treatment, awake craniotomy for brain tumors, brain haemorrhage, brain aneurysms, and AVMs (arteriovenous malformations).

He is one of the few dual-trained neurosurgeons in the country who can treat complex cerebrovascular illness with both surgical and minimally invasive endovascular treatments. Patients can be treated using minimally invasive endovascular procedures that need only a 1mm incision in the leg and no incisions in the head. He is neutral when it comes to the treatment he chooses because of his dual training. While most lesions may be treated endovascularly, surgery is sometimes the best option.
