- With over 43 years of expertise, Dr. Suresh H. is one of the most seasoned Medical, Pediatric Oncologists, and Hemato-Oncologists.
The Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan Award in 2012 and the Padma Shri Award in 2002, India’s highest civilian honors.
In addition, he received the Dhanvantari Award in 2002, the Dr. B. C. Roy National Award from the Medical Council of India in 2005, the Rashtriyra Krantiveer Award from Ujjain in 2014, and the Harvard Medical International Lifetime Achievement Award in Oncology in 2005. - He successfully transplanted bone marrow into a nine-year-old Myeloid Leukemia patient.
Dr. Advani participated in clinical trials with 1,200 individuals to aid youngsters with lymphoblastic leukemia.
He obtained training in BMT at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington, and collaborated with Dr. E Donnall Thomas, known as the “father of BMT” and winner of the 1990 Nobel Prize in medicine.
He is a member of the Indian Society of Oncology (ISO), the Medical and Pediatric Oncology Society, and the Indian Journal of Haematology and Blood Transfusion as its Secretary.
He is knowledgeable in Lymphomas, Bone marrow transplant, Acute Leukemia, Multiple myeloma, Breast Cancer, etc.
