Work Experience
- I have been fortunate to work with some of the best gynecologists in South India over the past 7 years. Having received the gold medal as best outgoing CRRI at my medical school, I worked under a leading endogynecologist and infertility specialist in Chennai Dr (Dr Geetha Haripriya) where I developed interest in OBG. As a registrar during my DNB training,I took keen interest in working upinfertility patients, performing IUI and regularly assisting IVF-ICSI.
- I have assisted a leading endogynecologist (DrSasikala Kola)at Hyderabad a large variety of gynecologic endoscopic procedures including laparoscopic hysterectomies (405), myomectomies(103),endometriosis (122) amongst others. I gained expertise in performing gynecologic and obstetric ultrasounds under her.Subsequently I have performed independently diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy, laparoscopic sterilization, laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy and open hysterectomies
- I was a consultant at a 250 bedded hospital under the Rural Development Trust run by Spanish missionaries in Ananthapur, AP where 600-700 deliveries(with a Caesarean rate under 18%), 30 vaginal hysterectomies and 15 laparoscopic hysterectomies are done per month. I developed proficieny in performing ultrasound including anamoly scans. I routinely conducted or supervised about 10-15 vaginal deliveries including forceps or vacuum deliveries during a night call. I have developed expertise in conducting difficult Caesarean sections including previous Caesarean, hand prolapse and placenta previa safely. I have performed vaginal hysterectomy for prolapse independently and non descent vaginal hysterectomy under supervision.
- I further refined my principles and practice of vaginal surgeries under the guidance of the pioneer of urogynecology in India (Prof N RajaMaheswari).
- In my journey in Apollo Cradle and Apollo OMR, I have done several obstetric emergency surgeries and laparoscopy cases and have received accolades from seniors and juniors alike both in my parent speciality and other specialities. I am happy to be a care giver in the Apollo group which has brought world class health care to India.
- Wherever I have worked, I have been appreciated for my hardwork, operative skill and decision making abilities. I am a sought after gynecologist for the employees’ families in the hospitals wherever I have worked. Having worked in and out of multispeciality hospitals, I understand the work culture there and I can put patients at ease with my communication skills.
