Dr Yong Chee Kong earned the prestigious Ministry of Health HMDP (Human Manpower Development Programme) Fellowship in 1992, focusing on specialized training in Breast Cancer Surgery. Under the guidance of Prof. Roger W Blamey, a key figure in the training and specialization of breast surgeons in the United Kingdom,
Dr Yong Chee Kong embarked on his journey. Establishing his private surgical practice in Breast Surgery in Singapore in 1995, he has since been passionately committed to Breast Cancer Screening, Minimally Invasive Breast Biopsy with image guidance, Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, and Axillary sentinel nodes biopsy. Dr. Yong currently serves as a Visiting Consultant at Thomson Breast Centre.
