Dr Archana Dixit graduated from India in 1993 and began her career in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India, where she earned her postgraduate degree (MD) in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1998. She worked in Muscat, Oman for two years in a socio-culturally varied female population before moving to London after a few more years at the same institution.
She received her training in the Northwest Thames region of London, notably at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned experts in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In the 2001 examinations for Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), she received the Gold Medal.
She has substantial clinical and surgical experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as advanced training in the care of high-risk pregnancies, medical illnesses in pregnancy, and labor ward leadership.
Dr Archana Dixit started her full-time job at West Middlesex University Hospital in 2008, where she is the lead for endocrine problems and HIV in pregnancy, as well as Obstetric Audits and Postgraduate Teaching. She is also an Imperial College London Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer.
